Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich Joins CPNE Punjab Committee for 2025-26

LAHORE (DAILYPOINT) — Senior journalist and anchorperson Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich has been appointed as a member of the Punjab committee of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) for the year 2025-26.

The CPNE formally announced the new committee’s formation, which aims to promote and protect the interests of member newspapers and publications in Punjab. The committee will also focus on organising seminars, workshops, and activities to strengthen print media and support its development.

Ayaz Khan has been named the chairman of the Punjab committee, while Mian Hassan Ahmad will serve as deputy chairman. Other members include Kazim Khan, Babar Nizami, Zia Tanoli, Jamil Athar, Nadeem Basra, Dr Zubair Mahmood, Zulfikar Ahmad Rahat, Ali Ahmad Dhillon, Tanvir Shaukat, Waqas Tariq Farooq, Muhammad Owaise Raza, Muhammad Akmal Chauhan, Sardar Obaid ul Alim, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, Imtiaz Ruhani, Shehzad Amin, Usman Ghani Sufi, Syed Intizar Hussain Zanjani, Mian Aslam, and Safdar Ali Khan.

The committee will work closely with the CPNE Standing Committee to organise events, address press-related issues, and highlight the significance of the media’s role in society.
