NEW DELHI (Daily Point) — In a heartbreaking incident, the Malayalam TV industry is in mourning following the tragic passing of Dr Priya, a beloved actress who tragically succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest at the tender age of 35.

Adding to the poignancy of this loss is the fact that Dr. Priya was eight months pregnant at the time.

Miraculously, doctors managed to save her unborn child, who is currently receiving intensive care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The news of her untimely departure was initially shared by her co-star, Kishor Satya, known for his role in the popular show ‘Karuthamuthu.’

Dr Priya, who had been on a hiatus from acting to focus on her pregnancy, was reportedly at the hospital for a routine checkup on October 31 when she suffered a sudden and devastating cardiac arrest, leaving everyone in shock. Expressing his grief, Kishor Satya said, “Another unexpected loss in the Malayalam television industry. Dr. Priya passed away due to a cardiac arrest yesterday. She was 8 months pregnant. The baby is in the ICU. There were no prior health issues. She had gone to the hospital for a routine checkup, and the cardiac arrest occurred suddenly.”

Kishor further shared the immense pain experienced by Dr. Priya’s mother and husband in the wake of this loss. Dr. Priya’s family had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their child, but now they must grapple with this devastating loss and face an uncertain future.

Dr Priya, not only a gifted actress but also a doctor by profession, had taken a break from the entertainment industry to focus on her pregnancy. She had been working at the PRS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
