LAYYAH (Daily Point) – The people of Layyah expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif for reducing electricity prices by 7 rupees per unit. The locals stated that this is the first time in years that the public has received such direct relief, and they are extremely happy with this decision.

Speaking to Daily Point reporter Rana Shahroz, the residents emphasized that inflation should now be reduced as well. One of the residents mentioned that, with Eid approaching, the federal government has given them the best “Eid gift” in the form of cheaper electricity. The people of Layyah further urged that electricity theft should be stopped, as they believe if corruption and power theft are curbed, electricity prices can be further reduced. They prayed for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s good health, appreciating that the reduction in electricity prices will lead to lower bills.

A senior citizen in Layyah remarked that if Shehbaz Sharif is given more time in office, Pakistan will experience rapid development.
