Radio Pakistan continues to serve as a trusted voice for the public: Farrukh

LAHORE MIRROR — Veteran journalist and political analyst Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich has said that Radio Pakistan, the country’s oldest and largest broadcasting organization, continues to serve as a credible and authentic source of information for the public.

He expressed these views while leading a delegation of students from the Department of Media and Development Communication, University of the Punjab, during their visit to Radio Pakistan Lahore on Thursday.

Warraich noted that Radio Pakistan has played a pivotal role in preserving Pakistan’s oral history and cultural heritage through its diverse range of programs and transmissions.

During the visit, Controller News Sajjad Parvez briefed the delegation on the broadcaster’s recent digital transformation. He said Radio Pakistan’s services are now accessible through mobile applications and social media platforms, offering video podcasts, live audio, and video streaming alongside its traditional medium wave and FM broadcasts.

The students also visited Radio Pakistan Lahore’s picture gallery, where they showed keen interest in rare photographs of national icons from music, literature, and current affairs who have been associated with the organization since the country’s independence.
