The video has drawn considerable attention, with many individuals expressing concerns

LAHORE (Daily Point) – A video circulating on social media has caught the attention of many, showing a police presence at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), just two days after a visit by caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, during which students posed tough questions to him.

The video has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding the police presence at the university. One student asked about the reason for Kakar’s visit to the institution, while another criticized him for arriving half an hour late to the scheduled meeting.

Despite the challenging questions from the students, Kakar appeared unfazed. Videos of his visit to LUMS have gone viral on various social media platforms, and the topic is trending on X (formerly Twitter).

A social media user, sharing the video on her X handle, wrote, “The Punjab government should refrain from taking any action against LUMS students. They have every right to freedom of speech and expression. Asking questions is not a crime. Youth are the pillars of society, the backbone of the nation, and the hope of the future.”

In response to the viral video, IG Punjab Usman Anwar refuted reports of a police raid at LUMS University. The Punjab Police chief stated that the videos circulating on social media, claiming to depict a raid on the university, are “fake.” He asserted that no official received any such instructions and suggested that it was an attempt to discredit the prime minister’s visit to the institution.

Usman Anwar went on to clarify that the footage of police vans seen in the fake video was actually showing normal police movement far away from the university. “Neither the police raided LUMS University, nor do they have any such plans,” he stated, and added that action would be taken against those involved in creating the misleading video.
