(Web Desk Monitoring) — Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso, 20, has been removed from the athlete village at the Paris Olympics due to allegedly creating an “inappropriate” environment, as reported by Paraguayan Olympic authorities.

The incident occurred shortly after Alonso unexpectedly announced her retirement from swimming, following her failure to qualify for the 100m semi-finals last week.

In a statement, Larissa Schaerer, a former Paraguayan tennis Olympian, remarked, “Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay. We appreciate her cooperation, as she willingly chose not to spend the night in the Athletes’ Village.”

The specifics of Alonso’s “inappropriate behavior” have not been disclosed, and the Paraguayan Olympic committee has remained silent on the matter. However, Alonso has denied any wrongdoing, calling the situation “lies” and “false information.”

The sudden departure of Alonso, a promising athlete for Paraguay, has cast a shadow over the nation’s Olympic campaign as they navigate the repercussions of this controversial event.
