Popularity of PML-N: What did the intelligence agencies find out?

PML-N-survey-election

LAHORE (Daily Point) — As political campaigns heat up, the nation is abuzz with election fervor. Reports said that the intelligence agencies conducted a survey regarding the popularity of PML-N and PTI ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Amidst the backdrop of a seemingly imminent transfer of power to PML-N, even as Imran Khan remains a central figure in the election discourse from behind bars, recent revelations indicate that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has undertaken a survey to gauge the PML-N’s popularity and its prospects in winning seats.Renowned journalist Mubasher Bukhari shared key insights on an online portal, Naya Daur.

According to Bukhari, the ISI survey suggests that PML-N is likely to secure 20 seats, with one contributing factor being Nawaz Sharif’s shift away from an aggressive narrative. In response to waning popularity, Nawaz Sharif, in a recent address, revisited the theme of accountability after his economic recovery narrative failed to gain significant traction.

It is pertinent to mention here that, as reported by various journalists and sources, there is optimism within the PML-N that they will secure 87 seats. This confidence was reportedly expressed during a five-day parliamentary board meeting, with plans to make seat adjustments on the remaining contested constituencies.
