NEW YORK (Daily Point) — WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has unveiled a new ‘automatic album’ feature for channels.
As per WaBetaInfo, once an album is shared, consecutive images or videos will be automatically organized within the WhatsApp channel. Currently, this update is accessible to select beta testers and is expected to roll out to a wider audience in the coming days.
The messaging platform continues to introduce innovative features, aiming to provide users with a seamless experience and more intuitive ways to engage with media content in channels.
According to a WhatsApp news source, “When channel admins share multiple consecutive images or videos in a channel, WhatsApp now automatically organizes them into a unified album, and channel followers can conveniently tap on the automatic album to access the entire collection.”
This feature, previously unavailable for channels, extends support for channel reactions to the photos and videos shared in the album. The introduction of this feature aims to improve media organization and accessibility for channel followers.
Users will now have the convenience of tapping on the automatic album to seamlessly navigate and explore the entire collection.
