(Daily Point) — As attention gravitates towards the highly-anticipated OnePlus 12, the spotlight also shines on another upcoming smartphone from OnePlus – the 12R.
Expected to make its global debut alongside the OnePlus 12 in January, the latest leaked specifications, courtesy of reliable tipster Max Jambor, have now surfaced.
The OnePlus 12R is rumored to feature a curved 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, accompanied by a substantial configuration of up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of speedy UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of the camera setup, the leak reveals a 50MP primary camera with an IMX890 sensor, along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens to cater to diverse photography needs. Powering the OnePlus 12R is a robust 5,500 mAh battery capable of supporting blazing-fast 100W charging.
For those with a keen sense of aesthetics, the OnePlus 12R will be available in sophisticated Iron Gray and stylish Cool Blue color options. The device is set for its initial launch in China on January 4, with the global debut coinciding with the worldwide release of the OnePlus 12 on January 23.
While the OnePlus 12 faces build quality issues, marked by a gap between the camera island and the phone’s frame, it remains to be seen if the OnePlus 12R addresses and resolves this concern for users globally.
