During Dubai’s Karate Combat 45 event, mixed martial artist Shahzeb Rind faced off against his Indian opponent, with a notable spectator in the crowd: Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Rind recently shared in an interview with private TV channel Aaj News that not only was Khan present in the arena, but he even approached the ring to witness Rind’s final match.
With a record-breaking knockout in just 16 seconds, Rind found himself greeted by Khan post-victory. Khan expressed his amazement at Rind’s swift knockouts, confident in Rind’s abilities due to his evident self-assurance. Khan’s team captured the moment in photos and even facilitated an introduction between Rind and Sanjay Dutt’s son.
Rind revealed that his Indian opponent, Rana Singh, had engaged in pre-match trash talk. However, following his defeat, Singh apologized, acknowledging his mistake in his choice of words. Rind’s gesture of holding up both the Pakistani and Indian flags after his triumph prompted Singh’s change of heart.
Rind emphasized that his display of both flags aimed to highlight unity between the people of the two nations rather than division. With an undefeated streak of 5-0 in international competitions, Rind’s message of sportsmanship and camaraderie resonates beyond the ring.
