The Golden Visa program, run by the UAE government, provides a route to permanent residency and allows holders to remain in the nation for five or ten years, depending on their category. With this effort, which aims to support the nation’s growth and development, talented people—including recent graduates and high-achieving high school students—are expected to apply.
Qualifications for Obtaining a Golden Visa:
Outstanding alumni from UAE colleges could be eligible for a 10-year visa provided certain requirements are met. This involves having a good GPA and graduating from a class A or B university within the last two years.
Similarly, graduates from outside colleges may qualify for a 10-year Golden Visa provided that their university is ranked in the top 100 worldwide, they have an approved degree, and they maintain a high GPA.
High-achieving high school students who fulfill specific requirements—such as topping the national exam and obtaining a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Education—can also apply for a 5-year Golden Visa.
Procedure for Application:
Before visiting an Amer center, students can speed the application process by gaining permission for their ICP nomination. An Amer representative claims that this method can expedite and simplify the application procedure. The representative added that while some UAE colleges are free from this requirement, keeping a GPA of 3.8 makes the admission process easier. Graduates from these universities who obtain an ICP nomination are eligible to apply for a Golden Visa with a GPA of 3.5.
