(Web Desk Monitoring) — Pakistani acting luminary Talat Hussain passed away in Karachi at 83, following an extended period of illness, as confirmed by his daughter, Tazeen Hussain. The veteran actor had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Mohammad Ahmed Shah, the President of the Arts Council of Pakistan, expressed his condolences, revealing a cherished working relationship spanning over 40 years with Hussain. He recounted Hussain’s significant role within the Arts Council, describing him as a mentor and elder brother figure.

In addition to his prowess on screen, Hussain was noted for his literary pursuits, with Shah highlighting his ongoing work on a novel. The late actor’s influence extended beyond his performances, as he dedicated himself to nurturing young talents in the industry, leaving a lasting legacy.

Shah fondly remembered Hussain as a talented director and actor and a well-educated individual. His passing, Shah lamented, represents a profound loss to Pakistan’s entertainment industry and literary landscape.
