(Web Desk) — During the ongoing T20 World Cup, tragedy struck when Fayaz Ansari, the makeup artist for former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, drowned in a swimming pool in the West Indies, reported by foreign media.

Ansari, who had been accompanying Pathan during the tournament, was from Mohalla Qazi Sarai in Nagina Tehsil, Bijnor. He had moved to Mumbai 22 years ago, where he established a successful salon and eventually became Pathan’s personal makeup artist, accompanying him on international trips.

The incident occurred on June 21 during the T20 World Cup being held across the USA and the West Indies, where Pathan is currently part of the commentary team.

Ansari, who had recently married and had just arrived in Mumbai from Bijnor days before, tragically lost his life while swimming in the hotel pool. Pathan, deeply affected by the loss, is overseeing arrangements to repatriate Ansari’s body to India. The family, devastated by the untimely demise, awaits his return in Delhi, a process expected to take several days.
