(Web Desk) — Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has strongly denied reports of his arrest at Dubai airport, labeling the news as ‘fake and baseless’.
The clarification was posted on his official Facebook page, which has over eight million followers. The statement warned that any media outlet spreading such false information would face legal action.
Earlier, a Pakistani news outlet reported that Khan had traveled to the United Arab Emirates for a scheduled performance but was allegedly detained by authorities upon his arrival at Dubai airport. The report claimed he was held for several hours and taken into custody at the Burj Dubai Police Station.
In a video recorded against the backdrop of Dubai’s skyscrapers, the singer reassured his fans, stating, “I am here in Dubai to record my songs and everything is fine. I request you not to listen to rumors. There is nothing like what the enemy is thinking.”
While he did not specify who he referred to as the “enemy,” Rahat expressed his hope to return to Pakistan soon to continue entertaining his audience with “super hit” songs. He urged his global fanbase to disregard “cheap news and rumors” and continue supporting him, saying, “You are my power. My audience and my fans are my power.”
The “Zaroori Tha” and “Bol Na Halke Halke” singer emphasized the importance of his fans’ support and dismissed the circulating false news.
