COAS Asim munir Pakistan

(Web Desk Monitoring) — Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) Asim Munir issued a stern warning to hostile forces, asserting that Pakistan’s response would be swift and decisive if any form of warfare were waged against the country.

Addressing the Azadi Parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, marking the 77th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence, General Munir emphasized the nation’s resilience and preparedness against both traditional and non-traditional threats.

“We are united and resolute in the face of multi-dimensional threats. If warfare is imposed upon us, our retribution will be sharp and far-reaching,” he stated. The army chief also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s people in securing freedom and expressed confidence in the nation’s ability to defend itself against any adversary.

General Munir extended gratitude to China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Turkiye for their unwavering support to Pakistan during challenging times. He also voiced concern over the resurgence of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly due to the actions of the Fitna-ul-Khawarij, and praised the bravery of the Pashtun people in the fight against terrorism.

Addressing regional dynamics, General Munir referred to Afghanistan as a “brotherly Islamic neighbor” and urged them to avoid prioritizing harmful elements over their relationship with Pakistan. He also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, condemning the ongoing atrocities in both regions.

The army chief highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the self-determination of Kashmiris, as enshrined in UN resolutions, and condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza as a violation of international law. He lauded the Government of Pakistan’s efforts in advocating for a peaceful resolution to the Palestine conflict and providing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
