ATC orders asset seizure, ID blocking of prominent YouTubers

(Web Desk Monitoring) — An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has ordered the seizure of properties and the blocking of identity cards for YouTubers Adil Raja, Shaheen Sehbai, Moeed Pirzada, Sabir Shakir, Haider Mehdi, and Wajahat S Khan.

According to the local media reports, these individuals have been declared absconders in a case of incitement and provocation to violence.

The court directed the Deputy Commissioner to confiscate both movable and immovable properties of the absconders. Additionally, the court instructed the Chairman of NADRA to block their identity cards and NICOPs, and the Director General of FIA to block their passports.

A compliance report is to be submitted within 15 days, and the prosecution witnesses’ statements against the accused have been recorded.

The court, led by Judge Tahir Abbas Supra, has set a deadline of July 10 for all relevant departments to submit their compliance reports and issued written orders accordingly.

Adil Raja, Shaheen Sehbai, Moeed Pirzada, Sabir Shakir, Haider Mehdi, and Wajahat S Khan face charges of incitement and provoking people to violence.

Additionally, Adil Raja’s appeal to waive a £10,000 fine was recently rejected by a UK court.
