LAHORE (Daily Point) — Former PTI Member Chaudhry Sarwar, a prominent political figure, is reportedly considering a return to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, leaving the Pakistan Muslim League.
Sources close to Sarwar reveal that he has been engaged in consultations with his close circle of friends for several weeks, weighing the possibility of a significant political realignment.
Today, Chaudhry Sarwar left for an overseas destination, sparking increased speculation about his political future. It is suggested that the chances of his departure from the Pakistan Muslim League are high, and a potential return to PTI seems imminent.
It was also reported that Chaudhry Sarwar sent a message to Imran Khan, the Chairman of PTI, who is currently in prison. Reportedly, Imran Khan gave a positive signal in response, further fueling Sarwar’s contemplation of a party switch.
Following this encouraging communication, Sarwar intensified his consultations with his close associates to gauge the political landscape.
While there were rumors of Chaudhry Sarwar considering an option to join Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), a meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s son, Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, took place when news of his potential departure reached the leadership of the Muslim League.
During this meeting, Chaudhry Sarwar expressed his firm determination not to leave the party, reassuring Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the party leadership.
Sources close to Chaudhry Sarwar suggest that he perceives himself as somewhat irrelevant in the current political scenario. Having experienced a decline in popularity since leaving PTI, he is reportedly concerned about his standing in the political landscape. To make an informed decision, Sarwar has consulted legal advisors and sought input from friends in his native Toba Tek Singh regarding his potential participation in the 2024 general elections.
