BEIJING (Daily Point) — In response to escalating tensions between Pakistan and Iran, Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong expressed Beijing’s desire to play a constructive role in resolving differences between the two countries.

“China would like to ask Pakistan and Iran that we will like to play a constructive role to settle the differences between the two countries,” Yundong said exclusively talking to private TV channel Geo News.

When asked about Iran’s apparent violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty through a missile attack in Balochistan, the Chinese Consul General emphasized the significance of both countries in the region and the Muslim world. He expressed China’s hope for a resolution through peaceful talks.

On January 17, Pakistan issued a warning to Iran following an airspace violation, leading to the loss of two lives and injuries to several, as stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, who strongly condemned the unprovoked breach in a statement.
