(Web Desk Monitoring) — Pashto drama and stage artist Khushboo Khan was found dead in crop fields in the Wapda Colony area of Nowshera District, police reported on Monday.
The Akbarpura police have registered a murder case against two suspects, Shaukat, son of Gul Muhammad, and Falak Niaz, son of Dilbar. The complaint was filed by the victim’s brother.
According to the police, a search operation is underway to apprehend the suspects. One of the accused had previously been implicated in the murder of another woman in the acting industry.
The First Information Report (FIR) states that Khushboo’s brother believes the suspects killed her because she refused to work exclusively at their events and leave the industry. After she declined their demands, they allegedly lured her to a party and murdered her.
Akbarpura Station House Officer (SHO) Niaz Muhammad Khan indicated that police suspect Khushboo was taken to an event where the suspects were present, murdered elsewhere, and her body was subsequently dumped in the fields.
Police findings suggest the suspects may use houses for such criminal activities. Nowshera District Police Officer (DPO) Azhar confirmed that evidence has been collected and an investigation is ongoing. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.
The police plan to use modern investigative techniques, such as geo-fencing, to trace the suspects.
