SUKKUR (Daily Point) — Manzoor Wassan, a senior member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), asserted on Tuesday that there are active efforts to bring former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back into power, drawing parallels with the strategy used for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.
Speaking at Sukkur airport, Wassan expressed the PPP’s desire for timely elections, emphasizing the importance of the bat symbol in the political landscape.
Nasir Hussain Shah, another PPP leader, stated that Nawaz Sharif should face the legal cases against him. Addressing concerns about the upcoming elections, Sanaullah, a PPP representative, highlighted the party’s welcoming stance toward Nawaz Sharif’s return but noted that he had not spoken about the elections.
Shah emphasized that the PPP will participate in the elections based on its manifesto, and he reiterated PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s call for a level playing field. The party plans to launch its election campaign on December 27.
