LAHORE (Daily Point) — In a historic surge, egg prices in Lahore have reached an unprecedented high, surpassing Rs380 per dozen. At the retail level, individual eggs are now being sold at prices as high as Rs35 each.

Meanwhile, the wholesale market reflects rates ranging between Rs360 and Rs380 per dozen.

It is important to highlight that the government-mandated retail price for a dozen eggs stands at Rs290, while the established wholesale price is Rs280 per dozen according to official regulations.

Despite these government-set benchmarks, market dynamics have driven egg prices to record-breaking levels in Lahore.
