LAHORE (Daily Point) — Google has enhanced its AI chatbot, Bard, with a significant update, enabling it to respond to queries related to the content of YouTube videos.
This improvement, detailed in a progress update on Bard’s page, marks the initial phases of Bard’s capability to comprehend YouTube video content.
Users can now ask more detailed questions about video content, going beyond general searches. For instance, inquiries can be made about specific details from the first video in a search, such as the ingredients for a recipe. Google is expanding the YouTube Extension for Bard to cater to user demands for more meaningful interactions and discussions about video content.
In the previous update, Bard’s YouTube extension primarily assisted users in finding specific videos based on subjects or preferences. However, this latest update allows users to ask specific questions directly related to the content of selected videos.
This development comes shortly after YouTube’s experimentation with new generative AI features, aiming to answer questions about the platform’s content and introducing a feature that condenses topics found in video comments.
Furthermore, Google has widened access to Google Bard for teenagers in multiple countries, highlighting the tool’s usefulness in discovering inspiration, exploring new hobbies, and solving everyday problems. This reflects Google’s ongoing commitment to enhancing user engagement and utility through AI advancements.
