Mananwala fake Facebook accounts IDs FIA

LAHORE (Daily Point/Staff Report) — A group creating fake Facebook (FB) accounts to mislead villagers has been exposed, and an accused member, Mubeen Tariq, has been arrested.

According to details provided by a Daily Point reporter, a large group operating fake IDs on social media was exposed in the villages near Mananwala, Sheikhupura. For the past six months, accounts like “Zubair Ali,” “Haq Sach,” and others have been spreading content against certain individuals in the villages around Mananwala. The police revealed that this group was running a targeted propaganda campaign.

Upon receiving complaints, the police arrested a young man named Mubeen Tariq, who was part of this group and presented him before the DSP. During the investigation, Mubeen Tariq admitted to being involved in operating fake IDs. He disclosed that other boys, including Sherry and Qaim, were also part of the group. Mubeen confessed that he wrote the content because the others were not literate enough to make posts themselves.
