Has Natasha left Pakistan after compensating deceased family?

Natasha Amna Karachi incident Prado

(Web Desk) — Natasha Iqbal, the wife of a prominent Karachi industrialist, was involved in a tragic accident on Karsaz Road on Monday. Her speeding SUV struck bikers and pedestrians, leading to the deaths of a father and daughter.

Natasha is married to Danish Iqbal, Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy Limited and its subsidiaries, as well as the Metro Power Group.

According to police reports, Natasha’s vehicle first collided with a motorcycle before hitting other vehicles and pedestrians, eventually crashing onto the service road. The accident claimed the lives of 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 23-year-old daughter Amna, who were killed instantly. The father and daughter, residents of Scheme 33, were on their way home from Imran’s office when the accident occurred. A third victim later succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

On Wednesday, Zafar Iqbal, President and CEO of Prestige HR Group, falsely claimed in a Facebook post that Natasha had left Pakistan after paying Rs20 million in blood money to each of the deceased and Rs5 million in compensation to the injured. However, this claim has been debunked.

A Karachi East court approved the judicial remand of Natasha Iqbal on Wednesday. The judicial magistrate issued the remand order after an earlier directive to present Natasha and her medical report in court.

Meanwhile, Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho assured the public that the fatal accident involving Natasha Iqbal would be investigated fairly and according to the law. Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Odho emphasized that the police did not grant bail to Natasha and are adhering to legal procedures. He acknowledged that Natasha had made two significant errors, demonstrating serious negligence, but stressed that she is not considered a criminal.
