(Web Desk) — The Higher Education Commission (HEC)’s degree verification system has been offline for the past 10 days, causing significant uncertainty for students.
According to sources reported by private TV channel on Thursday, hundreds of students are affected, particularly those planning to study abroad or seeking employment or immigration opportunities that require verified credentials.
Each year, the HEC verifies degrees and offers educational credential services crucial for students navigating admissions abroad, addressing concerns over document authenticity.
Students have expressed frustration over unaddressed concerns despite multiple visits to HEC offices. Many have reported delays in receiving challans after submitting online applications.
HEC officials acknowledged the malfunction, specifically in Islamabad, assuring that challans and appointment dates will be issued promptly once the system is restored.
