LAHORE (Daily Point) — In a quick operation, the Lahore Police have successfully thwarted a robbery attempt in Iqbal Town, resulting in the elimination of six armed assailants who had taken a local doctor’s family hostage.
According to the local media reports, the incident unfolded in the residence of Dr Ibad in Iqbal Town, where a group of robbers forcibly entered, posing an immediate threat to the occupants. Swiftly responding to the distress call, a team of Lahore Police arrived at the scene, only to face a hail of gunfire from the criminals.
Undeterred by the assailants’ aggression, the police retaliated with precision, ultimately killing all six robbers during the exchange of gunfire.
The reports further reported that the family, initially held captive in the garage of their residence, emerged unharmed due to the timely action of the law enforcement agencies.
According to police officials, the deceased robbers were part of the gang that broke into Dr Ibad’s house. After eliminating the threat, the police swiftly moved the bodies to a nearby hospital for legal proceedings.
The heroic actions of the Lahore Police have garnered widespread support from the local community, with residents of Iqbal Town expressing their gratitude through a rally in favour of the police force.
On the other hand, a heavy police contingent deployed at the scene to ensure the safety and security of the residents.
