(Web Desk Monitoring) — The Islamabad police have successfully located the wife of the Vietnamese ambassador, who was reported missing in the federal capital over the weekend.

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Tien Phong reached out to the police helpline 15 to report his wife’s disappearance. According to him, she had left for a beauty parlor at 11 am, but did not return home after four hours, leaving behind her mobile phone and wallet.

Promptly responding to the complaint, the police launched a thorough search operation utilizing Safe City cameras and cellular technology. Seven police teams were mobilized for the search effort.

The efforts bore fruit when the ambassador’s wife was found at the sports club in F-9 Park. She was safely escorted home by her husband.

IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi commended the diligent efforts of DIG Operations and the entire team involved in the search operation.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took immediate notice of the incident and instructed IG Islamabad to take all necessary steps for the safe recovery of the ambassador’s missing wife. Following the minister’s directives, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, along with DIG Ali Raza, visited the ambassador’s residence to brief him on the progress of the search operation.

Additionally, IG Islamabad received briefings from SSP Safe City, SSP Investigation, and SSP Operations as part of the coordinated effort to ensure the woman’s safe return.
