ISLAMABAD (Daily Point) — The Aviation Ministry, in accordance with directives from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, has granted an exemption to serving judges and their spouses from undergoing body searches at all airports in the country.

A notification issued by the Aviation Ministry on October 12 stated, “Secretary Aviation has been pleased to exempt spouses of serving judges and Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan from body search at all airports.” This decision has been implemented following orders from the Airport Security Force (ASF) director general, acting upon the instructions of the aviation secretary.

Under the ASF order, all serving judges and their families are now excluded from the standard screening process at airports throughout Pakistan.
