Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova

Krystyna Pyszkova, hailing from the Czech Republic, secured the prestigious Miss World 2024 title during a splendid event hosted in Mumbai, India, amidst the presence of 111 captivating contestants from various renowned nations.

Pyszkova joins the ranks as the second Miss World from the Czech Republic, following in the footsteps of Tatana Kucharova, who clinched the title back in 2006. Described on the official Miss World website, Pyszkova is a Czech model concurrently pursuing degrees in law and business administration.

In her twenties, Pyszkova is also recognized as the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation. Fluent in English, Polish, Slovak, and German, she is a fervent supporter of sustainable development through education.

Her notable achievements include establishing an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, where she actively volunteered. Alongside her advocacy work, Pyszkova also possesses a deep passion for music and art, having spent nine years in an art academy.

Reportedly standing at 180 cm tall, Pyszkova’s linguistic proficiency extends to English, Polish, Slovak, and German. Following Tatana Kucharova’s victory in 2006, Pyszkova becomes the second Miss World titleholder from the Czech Republic, a commendable feat while simultaneously pursuing degrees in Law and Business Administration.

India, serving as the host after a hiatus of 28 years, was represented by 22-year-old Shetty. Shetty, originally from Mumbai and crowned Femina Miss India World in 2022, displayed commendable performance, though the ultimate title was claimed by another contestant.

Miss World, recognized as the oldest international beauty pageant, originated in the United Kingdom in 1951 as a “bikini contest.” Notable winners from India include Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Miss World 1994) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Miss World 2000), both renowned actors. Chopra Jonas, in a video message, expressed her gratitude towards Miss World owner Julia Morley and Nita Ambani, recipient of the pageant’s Humanitarian Award.

Pyszkova now succeeds the outgoing Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, whose reign commenced in March 2022. The Miss World pageant faced a hiatus in 2023 due to scheduling constraints.
