(Web Desk Monitoring) — The Lahore High Court has issued a directive to the provincial police, ordering them to recover YouTuber Aun Ali Khosa by August 20.

Aun was reportedly “taken into custody by unidentified armed men,” sparking concerns for his safety.

The court’s urgent order came in response to a petition filed by Aun’s wife, Binish Iqbal, who claims her husband is being unlawfully detained by law enforcement agencies. In her petition, Binish expressed deep concern, fearing Aun may be a victim of an enforced disappearance.

Justice Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, who presided over the hearing, instructed the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to ensure Aun’s appearance in court by the specified date.

In response to the court’s order, Lahore’s Deputy Inspector General Operations, Faisal Kamran, noted that no formal complaint regarding Aun’s alleged abduction had yet been filed. However, he assured that the police would act promptly once a complaint is lodged.

Aun Ali gained widespread attention on social media for his satirical song “Bill Bill Pakistan,” which critiques the steep electricity bills faced by Pakistanis during Independence Day celebrations.

The incident came to light when Aun’s brother, Ali Sher Khosa, informed the public that armed men had taken Aun from their Lahore apartment in the middle of the night. He called on the public to pray for his brother’s safe return and to share the news widely, highlighting the gravity of the situation for their family.
