Mark Zuckerberg reveals ‘Roman’ statue of wife Priscilla Chan

(Web Desk) — Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday sparked attention by sharing a photo featuring his wife, Priscilla Chan, standing beside a striking 7-foot-tall (2.1 meters) statue sculpted in her likeness, according to a report by BBC.

The statue, designed by New York-based artist Daniel Arsham, is a silver and blue creation that reflects elements of Roman culture, where sculptures of one’s spouse were common.

The statue is set in what appears to be a suburban yard, under a tree. As soon as the image was posted online, it quickly drew comparisons to characters from the movie “Avatar,” with many poking fun at Zuckerberg’s ‘wife guy’ persona.

In the picture, Chan can be seen holding a mug that matches the light blue hue of the statue. She expressed her excitement on Instagram, humorously commenting on her husband’s post with an image of a naked woman and a cheeky caption, “the more of me the better?” accompanied by an emoticon.

The statue’s design features a rippling silver garment draped over the teal-colored figure, evoking the flowing style often seen in ancient Roman sculptures. According to the National Museums Liverpool, such statues in Roman times were typically meant to honor loved ones who had passed away or to highlight the significance of prominent family members.

Zuckerberg and Chan, who have been married since 2012, are parents to three daughters.
