NEW YORK (Daily Point) — Meta has officially launched a dedicated website for its Imagine tool, an AI-driven image generator previously limited to Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp chats. Now, users can access the Imagine tool directly on the web, providing a more open and streamlined experience.
To explore the capabilities of Imagine, users need to visit Meta’s dedicated Imagine website and log in with a free Meta account. Once logged in, the website operates similarly to other AI image generators. Users can input precise and imaginative descriptions for their desired images, click the Generate button, and receive four different images that closely match their vision.
To obtain an image, users can select their preferred option, click the ellipsis icon, and choose the download option. The downloaded image will be saved as a JPG file, allowing users to view and modify it using any image editor. Notably, each generated image includes a watermark in the corner, indicating its origin as an AI-generated creation.
Before its transition to a standalone website, Meta’s Imagine tool was initially designed for image generation within chats on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp. Integrated into Meta AI, the tool enables users to interact with an AI chatbot, pose questions, make requests, seek information, or solicit recommendations. Users can activate the image generator in a chat by typing “/imagine” followed by a description of the desired image.
The image generation process relies on Meta’s Emu model, specifically engineered to produce high-quality, photorealistic images within seconds. In a recent news post, Meta announced the expansion of Imagine access beyond chats, making it available on the web at imagine.meta.com in the UK. Meta emphasized the tool’s versatility, stating that while designed for playful interactions, users can now create free images on the web as well.
