New tower threatens Burj Khalifa’s title as world’s tallest building

Burj Khalifa

RIYADH (Daily Point) — Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower, also known as Kingdom Tower, is on track to surpass the Burj Khalifa as the world’s tallest building, reaching a height of over 1,000 meters.

The Burj Khalifa claimed the title in 2010, standing at 828 meters. Guinness World Records verifies the Jeddah Tower’s potential to redefine skylines with its ambitious design, developed by the Jeddah Economic Company.

The $1.23 billion project includes luxury residences, offices, and the “world’s highest observatory.” With construction resuming in 2023 after a five-year hiatus, the completion date remains a mystery, adding to the anticipation of this architectural marvel challenging the Burj Khalifa’s reign.

The $20 billion mega-project in north Jeddah promises to leave an indelible mark on architectural history.
