(Web Desk) — Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently unveiled a new WhatsApp feature designed to simplify prioritizing and managing communications.
According to WABetaInfo, after launching new AI-powered business features and Meta Verified for WhatsApp, the 40-year-old tech billionaire will introduce a “favourite” filter to the messaging app.
Users can look forward to a wider release of the new filter, allowing them to quickly locate favourite chats, groups, and calls. Zuckerberg announced this feature on his official WhatsApp channel.
This update enables users to access their most important conversations, both individual and group, directly from the chats tab. Additionally, a new filter in the calls tab allows users to quickly locate and place calls to their favourites with ease.
To use WhatsApp’s new filter, users have several options to mark chats and groups as favourites. They can:
- Add chats and groups to their favourites by accessing the “Favorites” tab within the chats list.
- Designate specific contacts and groups as favourites directly from the chat info or the calls tab.
- Manage favourites within the app settings, where they can easily add, organise, and remove them.
The feature is available for both Android and iOS users.
