Dr. Hajra Niaz and her husband, Huzaifa Mughal, accomplished a remarkable feat by passing their CSS exams on their first attempt. Celebrating their joint success, they took to social media to share their joy and gratitude.

“Alhamdulillah, we dreamt it together and achieved it together. Both me and my wife have cleared CSS 2023 and got allocated in the Police Service of Pakistan and Inland Revenue Services respectively,” Mughal shared in a heartfelt post.

Reflecting on their journey, Dr. Hajra reminisced, “I was in 2nd year MBBS when Huzaifa sent a proposal to my home. I told him I have my career goals, he said, ‘To mil k karen ge na’ (We’ll achieve them together),” underscoring their mutual support and determination.

Dr. Hajra’s accolades extend far beyond her recent CSS success. With a trail of achievements, including the Prime Minister Innovation Award, the KPK Innovation Award, 19 essay awards, and recognition from esteemed institutions like the BBC, her dedication to excellence is evident.

Educated at the prestigious Army Burn Hall School and College, Abbottabad, Dr. Hajra pursued her MBBS at Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad. Her commitment to social causes is equally impressive; she was honored with the Youth Innovation Award by the KP government in 2018 and has actively advocated for marginalized communities, including the transgender community and acid survivors.

Furthermore, Dr. Hajra’s initiatives such as founding the Ayubian Literary and Arts Forum (ALAF), reviving the Karakorum magazine of Ayub Medical College, and establishing the Students’ Organization for Counselling, Rehabilitation, Art Therapy, Education, and Support (SOCRATES) highlight her passion for fostering creativity and support networks within her community.

Addressing inquiries about the difficulty of the CSS exams, Dr. Hajra candidly remarked, “My five years of professional preparation for the MBBS was not so difficult as the CSS,” shedding light on the rigorous nature of the examination.

Beyond her academic and social endeavors, Dr. Hajra is actively involved in promoting mental health awareness through her social enterprise, the Annon Association, demonstrating her commitment to holistic well-being.

As messages of congratulations flooded her WhatsApp and Instagram inboxes upon the release of the exam results, Dr. Hajra and Huzaifa stand as inspiring examples of perseverance, partnership, and achievement.
