Pakistanis will get these public holidays in 2024

ISLAMABAD (Daily Point) — The federal government has released a schedule of 11 public holidays, providing a total of 16 days off for the year 2024. The notification from the cabinet secretariat also outlines 22 optional holidays and three designated bank holidays.

The public holidays are detailed as follows:

  1. Kashmir Day – Monday, February 5
  2. Pakistan Day – Saturday, March 23
  3. Eid-ul-Fitr – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – April 10, 11, and 12
  4. Labour Day – Wednesday, May 1
  5. Eid-ul-Azha – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – June 17, 18, and 19
  6. Ashura – Tuesday and Wednesday – July 16 and 17
  7. Independence Day – Wednesday, August 14
  8. Eid Milad-un-Nabi – Monday, September 16
  9. Allama Iqbal Day – Saturday, November 9
  10. Quaid Day/Christmas – Wednesday, December 25
  11. Day after Christmas* – Saturday, December 26 (*This holiday is designated for Christians only)

This schedule offers a comprehensive overview of planned holidays for the upcoming year, accommodating various cultural and religious observances.
