LAHORE (Daily Point) — Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf summoned Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq to Gaddafi Stadium for an investigation.
Former cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq is currently located at Gaddafi Stadium, with an impending inquiry on the horizon. Inzamam-ul-Haq faces accusations of a partnership with players’ agent Talha Rahmani in the UK and allegations of shareholding and profit-sharing in the British company Yazoo.
This revelation has raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, given that Rahmani legally represents several prominent Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
In an interview with a local news channel, Zaka Ashraf, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee, has hinted at the possibility of launching an inquiry into Inzamam’s alleged association with a players’ agent’s firm. This move is driven by concerns about potential conflicts of interest in the national team’s selection process.
The PCB’s probe aims to shed light on the situation and, if necessary, put in place appropriate measures to address any potential conflicts of interest that may arise.
