Political expert predicts winner of US Presidential Election: Will Kamala Harris make history?

Washington (Special Report by Farrukh Warraich) — As the US presidential election approaches, excitement is mounting among citizens, and not just in America but globally as well. On one side is Kamala Harris, currently serving as Vice President under Joe Biden, who could become the first woman ever to hold the office if elected. On the other side, Donald Trump appears optimistic about securing a second term.

In this context, Professor Allan Lichtman, often referred to as the Nostradamus of US presidential elections, has made headlines. He has accurately predicted nearly every presidential election since 1984, including Trump’s victory in 2016.

Professor Lichtman, a historian, developed a prediction model in 1981 based on 120 years of US presidential history, which analyses 13 key points to forecast the outcome of elections.

These 13 points examine factors such as the performance of the White House, midterm elections, internal politics of the parties, the economy, foreign policy, scandals, and the personalities of the candidates.

Based on this model, Professor Lichtman is confident that the 2024 US election will be won by Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, making her the first female president in American history.

However, both presidential candidates are vigorously campaigning in swing states, often arriving in the same state on the same day as their opponent. These states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—will play a crucial role in determining the next president.

A tight race is expected between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump, with these key states likely deciding the outcome of the election. Both the Democratic and Republican parties are intensely focusing their efforts on these swing states, where undecided voters could tip the balance.
