Private Space: Now hide selective apps in your Android phones

Android

WASHINGTON (Daily Point) – Google is reportedly in the development stages of introducing a valuable privacy feature for Android users known as “Private Space.”

This upcoming tool, outlined in preliminary release notes for an upcoming Android update, is anticipated to provide Android users with a privacy level similar to features already available in certain phones like Samsung and OnePlus.

According to the release notes, Private Space will empower users to “hide private apps in a secure space that only you can access.” By default, the feature will be represented by a new icon at the bottom of the app drawer, offering an additional layer of privacy with the option to conceal its presence for heightened security.

One noteworthy aspect of Private Space is that apps within it will not appear in searches, contributing to a more discreet user experience. Currently undergoing beta testing, the feature is designed to prevent notifications from private apps when Private Space is locked.

Furthermore, Google is striving to make Private Space challenging to detect for unauthorized users by ensuring it leaves no traces in the permission manager, privacy dashboard, or other settings.

While Private Space is still in the testing phase and not finalized, Android users can look forward to its potential integration in Android 15, scheduled for release next year. This advancement signifies a comprehensive and robust tool for Android users to manage their privacy preferences effectively and discreetly conceal sensitive applications.
