(Web Desk) – The Punjab government has announced plans to recruit 3,000 female nurses to address staffing shortages in hospitals throughout the province. A formal notification has been issued to kick off this initiative.
The Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department (SHC&MED) has formally requested the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to begin the recruitment of 3,000 charge nurses (BS-16) for Batch-2024. This recruitment will include all designated quotas and is to be conducted regularly. The SHC&MED has provided a completed requisition form and relevant documents to the PPSC, urging that the process be prioritized and that candidate recommendations follow established rules and policies.
The PPSC will soon publish advertisements in newspapers to facilitate the recruitment process on both an open and quota basis. Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique expressed strong support for the initiative, calling it a highly beneficial step forward.
