NEW DELHI (Daily Point) — The inaugural installment of the Prabhas-led South-Indian cinematic extravaganza, titled ‘Salaar: Part 1 โ Ceasefire,’ has soared past the INR 500 crore benchmark in global ticket sales within a week of its much-anticipated release.
Despite facing a box office showdown with Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Dunki,’ which hit theaters a day earlier, ‘Salaar’ has emerged triumphant, earning accolades for its action-packed narrative.
The official film handle celebrated the monumental achievement on social media, declaring that ‘Salaar’ crossed the massive INR 500 crore mark worldwide on its seventh day in theaters.
The movie, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Prashanth Neel of ‘K.G.F’ fame, not only stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran but also boasts an ensemble cast featuring Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Ramachandra Raju, Sriya Reddy, and more.
The epic actioner, produced by Vijay Kirangandur under his banner Hombale Films, marks Neel’s debut in the Telugu industry after establishing himself in Kannada cinema.
The success of ‘Salaar’ has already set the stage for the next installment in the series, titled ‘Shouryaanga Parvam,’ currently in the developmental phase. Despite multiple delays, the film’s box office triumph underscores its widespread appeal and the audience’s anticipation for South-Indian cinema’s latest blockbuster.
