Scientist develops tool that can detect cancer in minutes with a single drop of blood

Cancer Blood

A groundbreaking test harnessing cutting-edge technology has surfaced, promising swift and precise detection of three prevalent illnesses using only a small quantity of dried blood.

In initial trials, the test demonstrated its ability to distinguish individuals with pancreatic, gastric, or colorectal ailments from those without, all within a matter of minutes. Scientists noted the test’s capacity to detect illness with a success rate ranging from 82% to 100%, analyzing specific chemicals present in the blood.

Employing machine learning, a form of artificial intelligence, the test scrutinizes metabolites in the blood—substances generated during the body’s digestion process. These metabolites, housed within the blood’s serum, serve as “biomarkers,” offering insights into the presence or absence of cancer.
