(Web Desk) — The investigation into the circumstances surrounding PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s stay in Adiala Jail is expanding, with new details emerging about retired General Faiz Hameed, who is currently in military custody.

Senior journalist and analyst Ansar Abbasi has revealed that former DG ISI, Lieutenant General (Retd) Faiz Hameed, and former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar were in contact with each other. However, the exact nature of their communication remains uncertain.

According to Abbasi, citing informed sources, authorities have confirmed the existence of communication between the two, but it is unclear whether these interactions were of a social, political, or criminal nature.

The journalist also reported that authorities have gathered evidence against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar. However, there are no plans to arrest him upon his return to Pakistan.

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, in a recent press conference, accused Imran Khan and Chairman Barrister Gohar Malik of orchestrating a conspiracy against the PTI. He further alleged that those recently arrested, including Lieutenant General (Retd) Faiz Hameed, were involved in this conspiracy.

Tarar also stated that the investigation will expand following the arrest of General Fayyaz, potentially implicating both Saqib Nisar and Faiz Hameed.

Speculation has been rife on social media that former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has fled to London and might be arrested as part of a broader inquiry related to General Fayyaz’s arrest. However, Nisar has dismissed these rumors. In an interview with Geo News, he clarified that his trip to London was planned in advance and is unrelated to the ongoing investigation involving General Faiz.
