LAHORE (Daily Point) — TikTok’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the second quarter of 2023 (April-June 2023) reveals that a staggering 106,476,032 videos were removed globally.
This accounts for approximately 0.7% of all videos uploaded to the platform during that period. Notably, 66,440,775 videos were removed through automated systems, while 6,750,002 videos were later restored after review.
In Pakistan, a substantial 14,141,581 videos were taken down for violations of TikTok’s Community Guidelines during the same quarter. In addition to tackling guideline violations, TikTok actively targeted spam accounts and their associated content, implementing preventive measures to combat the creation of automated spam accounts.
It’s worth noting that a significant portion of the videos in Pakistan, approximately 83.6%, were removed before they could be viewed by anyone. Moreover, an impressive 92.5% of these violative videos were eliminated within just one day. The proactive removal rate for this quarter reached an impressive 98.6%.
On a global scale, TikTok also took action against 18,823,040 accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring the safety of young users on the platform.
