ABBOTTABAD (Daily Point) — A tragic incident unfolded in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a house fire claimed the lives of nine family members on Sunday, according to rescue officials. Among the deceased were a mother and eight children.
The administration reported that the fire originated from a short circuit in the Treri village, causing the wooden ceiling and pillars to catch fire, leading to the collapse of the substandard house’s roof.
Footage depicted charred wooden logs used in the house construction as villagers and rescue personnel searched for bodies amidst the rubble.
The bodies were subsequently handed over to the grieving relatives. It was mentioned that the family head, Zakir Abbasi, had been residing in Karachi for employment.
Caretaker KP Chief Minister Justice (retd) Arshad Hussain Shah expressed sorrow over the incident, extending condolences to the affected family. He offered prayers for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved family.
