(Daily Point) — Joe Biden, the oldest president in US history, has garnered $90 million in the past month for his reelection campaign, accumulating a staggering $192 million in cash on hand, as per reports from US media.

The significant boost in funds came from a Manhattan fundraiser last week, where the 81-year-old Biden secured a record-breaking $26 million.

Reportedly, the campaign’s first-quarter fundraising total reached $187 million, marking the highest amount raised by any Democratic presidential candidate at this stage of the election cycle, as stated by The Hill.

Comparatively, Donald Trump’s team raised $66 million last month, with $93.1 million in cash on hand.

Biden’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, emphasized, “The money we are raising is historic, and it’s going to the critical work of building a winning operation, focused solely on the voters who will decide this election — offices across the country, staff in our battleground states, and a paid media program meeting voters where they are.”

The substantial financial advantage enabled Biden to establish new campaign offices in various locations and launch a $30 million advertising campaign targeting battleground states.

Addressing the financial challenges faced by the former president amidst ongoing legal battles, Chavez remarked, “It’s a stark contrast to Trump’s cash-strapped operation that is funneling the limited and billionaire-reliant funds it has to pay off his various legal fees.”

A Democratic fundraiser in New York last week featured former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
