Two high-value TTP commanders arrested in Balochistan

TTP Commanders balochistan Minister

(Web Desk Monitoring) — Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Langau on Wednesday announced the arrest of two high-value commanders of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Nasrullah alias Maulvi Mansoor, and Idris alias Irshad.

During a press conference, the minister showcased a video confession from Nasrullah, in which the terrorist detailed his activities since joining the TTP in 2007, including attacks on various checkposts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Nasrullah also revealed that he collaborated with a member of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in January.

The home minister stated that the TTP and the BLA are working together to carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan, with India as their single investor. He emphasized, “India is behind terrorist attacks in the country and provides financial support to the militants. The TTP claims they aim to establish an Islamic system, while the BLA holds opposing ideological views. Their collaboration indicates that they share the same investor, who is manipulating them from different angles. There is no doubt that the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is funding them.”

This announcement follows the federal cabinet’s approval of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a reinvigorated and re-energized national counter-terrorism drive.
