(Daily Point) — A 28-year-old Indian man was apprehended on a Qantas flight after reportedly assaulting passengers and a crew member, as per the New York Post.
The airline confirmed the incident took place during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Video footage released by Australia-based Nine News depicted the man aggressively screaming midair, attacking a female flight attendant, and subsequently being restrained by fellow passengers.
Witnesses described the individual as having “gone crazy” during the flight from Denpasar on Saturday night, which landed in Melbourne around 7 am on Sunday.
In the disturbing video, the man is seen standing, shouting incoherently, and issuing threats. He lunges towards a flight attendant, grabbing her arm and making inappropriate comments. Another attendant intervenes, instructing him to sit down.
Upon landing, Australian Federal Police officers boarded the plane, questioned the 28-year-old Victorian man, and subsequently took him for a medical assessment. The incident highlights the challenges faced by aircrew in managing disruptive passengers during flights.
