LAHORE (Daily Point) — In a harrowing disclosure, a Pakistani student who recently returned from Kyrgyzstan revealed to Daily Point anchor that more than 40 female Pakistani students were sexually assaulted in the presence of local police.
During an exclusive interview with Daily Point, the traumatized student recounted the horrifying events where Kyrgyz rebels stormed the hostels housing Pakistani girls, resulting in a wave of sexual assaults. According to her account, some students narrowly escaped further harm by hiding in hostel washrooms.
The student described a scene of chaos and violence where local civilians attacked foreign students with impunity despite the presence of law enforcement. This brutal assault reportedly led to several deaths and left dozens of girls violated.
The student highlighted the Kyrgyz government’s strict measures to suppress information, including a ban on video recordings and social media uploads, which has kept these incidents largely hidden from international scrutiny.
Although the situation in Kyrgyzstan has now stabilized to some extent, the violence against foreign students, particularly Pakistanis, continues to be a grave concern. The student called for urgent attention and intervention from the Pakistani authorities and international human rights organizations to protect foreign students and ensure their safety.
