(Web Desk) — The Henley Passport Index 2024 has ranked the Pakistani passport as the fourth weakest in the world. The global ranking company evaluates passports based on the number of destinations their holders can visit without needing a visa.
In the latest rankings, Pakistan’s passport is positioned at 100th out of 199 passports, covering 227 travel destinations. Pakistan shares this position with Yemen, a war-torn Middle Eastern country. The list continues with Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan occupying the 101st, 102nd, and 103rd spots, respectively.
Conversely, Singapore holds the title of the world’s strongest passport. The United States, which had improved to seventh place in January, has slipped to eighth in the latest rankings.
France, Italy, Germany, Japan, and Spain are tied for second place, while the third spot is shared by Australia, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and South Korea.
Among Pakistan’s neighboring countries, China ranks 82nd, India 94th, and Iran 59th in the global passport rankings.
